When we first met Ashleigh and Jeff for their engagement shoot last year, we immediately knew their wedding day was going to be a blast…and we were right! The 2020 pandemic caused them to shift their plans just a bit and scale down their day, but that did not take away from how special and memorable it was. The weather was PERFECT…sunny, warm and NOT humid (which is a miracle for a hot day here in Maryland!) and the venue they ended up choosing fit them perfectly!
Even though they may have been missing 100+ guests they had originally planned to have, they were still able to get married on the original date planned which was very important to both of them. Ashleigh was still able to wear her dress which was absolutely STUNNING, her dad was still able to walk her down the aisle, and they were still able to have their closest family and friends in attendance. To them, it was exactly what they wanted, even if it wasn’t “Plan A”.
They ended up having both the ceremony and reception at a friend’s house, which also happened to be settled on a beautiful piece of land with barns, a pond, and rolling fields that were an absolute perfect setting for Ashleigh & Jeff to exchange vows amongst their family and friends. What made their day even more special was the fact that one of their best friends married them AND their adorable pup Chopper was part of everything!
Ashleigh and Jeff were meant for each other and you could totally feel their love and strong connection throughout the entire day. From the teary-eyed vows to the giggles that came from Ashleigh as Jeff whispered in her ear, you could just see what the day meant to them and the joy they were feeling. During their portraits after the ceremony, we were able to capture many candid’s (which actually turn out to be some of the best shots!) of them in their own world enjoying being newlyweds. Everything about them was absolutely contagious in the best way possible and they made our job so easy. Ashleigh and Jeff, we were honored to be a part of your day and we are so glad we could capture these special memories for you both!
