One of the most anticipated weddings of our 2021 schedule was for Sara and Rob. Due to the global pandemic, Sara and Rob ended up rescheduling their wedding twice, however, they were able to tie the knot with family in an intimate backyard setting before their grand wedding and reception at the Elkridge Furnace Inn this past May. When Sara contacted us to shoot her wedding, we were so excited, as Lauren has known Sara for years and their moms are actually best friends! Despite all of the chaos and troubles that were thrown at them during the planning, they were such good sports and made the absolute best out of the unforeseen circumstances.
When we first toured the venue with them, we were in awe of everything, from the lavish rich green landscaping to the unique, antique-looking bridal suite! The gorgeousness of it all made photographing their day even that more special! We think everyone would agree that their day turned out the be nothing short of amazing!
Not only did Sara and Rob chose to do a first look, but Sara also decided to share a special first look moment with her dad, too. First looks are something we LOVE to capture, but the first look with the dad may just be better than the groom! There is just something about capturing the reaction of a father seeing his little girl for the first time dressed in her wedding gown on one of the biggest days of her life. Both of the first looks surely did not disappoint! You could tell Rob was beyond thrilled to call Sara his wife (again) in just a few short hours after their first look!
Exchanging of the rings is always a special moment in a ceremony, however, when Rob contacted us a few days before the wedding to tell us he was planning to surprise Sara with a brand new ring, we knew it was going to be even more special! As we already mentioned, Sara and Rob exchanged vows last year during a small, intimate ceremony with their families, so Rob wanted to make sure the vows they would share in front of all their friends and family were just as memorable. Sara had NO idea, and by the look on her face, it is safe to say she was surprised and over the moon about her new ring! Way to go Rob!
During the cocktail hour, some of Rob’s crew from Howard County’s Rescue Squad in Elkridge did a drive-by with lights and sirens to show their love for the new couple – so of course, we needed a photo of the new bride and groom on the front of the squad!
Sara and Rob share a love that you don’t find too often…Rob is such a huge jokester…constantly making Sara laugh! They compliment each other in the best ways possible and being able to photograph that was such a pleasure for both of us. We love you guys and wish you a lifetime of laughter and love.
